A gene that enables rice to survive complete submergence has been identified by a team of researchers at the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines and at the University of California's Davis and Riverside campuses.
The discovery allows for development of new rice varieties that can withstand flooding, thus overcoming one of agriculture's oldest challenges and offering relief to millions of poor rice farmers around the world.

Rice technology looks plausible to some extent. But this egg stuff is definitely unbelievable.
"Carrying a special label, the egg goes into your pan as normal and when it is perfectly cooked the Lion logo appears as if by magic confirming your chosen preference." LOL!

There is always a downside to technology. I wonder what the downsides to the rice varieties will do.
And about the egg, well, it saves one from thinking while adding to the cholestrol ! Deady combination dont you think !
