You too Maestro ?

Never in my dreams did I imagine that IR would have lifted all these.

Well , can these be called '
Inspirations', I bet that's what IR would say.

You too Maestro ?

PS - Thanks Vichu for sending me this.

Dear Sir,
Speaking about a Man who have composed 800 odd films and still giving melodies like 'Sihigaali' from AaDinagalu and about the Person who have done albums like How to name it , Thiruvasagam.. there is no need for Him to lift...Music flows spontaneously out of Him and He doesnt create Music.

i agree with dhanasekhar.
i've seen this page two years back. it has remained the same.
our boss has composed several thousands of songs.

The only irritant to me was the first song listed in the page.
That was a complete replica.
Apart from that, the rest are cases of genuine inspirations as karthik himself has mentioned.

i think he is more likely to composing on his own in quick time than looking through old records for lifting.

i dont think he is just another average music director by any standards.

This is definitely untrue......maestro is so unique that he has no need to resort to lifting music from elsewhere.

Yeah even I was surprised to see that list 3 years ago. But, as the others have mentioned, the number of inspired songs under his name is miniscule compared to the total number of hits he has delivered.

I would also urge you to read this interview (especially the part on his favorite music director) by the founder of itwofs.com, Mr. Karthik. As he himself has mentioned, IR can be said to be inspired by the original tunes rather than plagiarizing, as done by many Indian music directors.

shocking to hear.. still IR is the one.. might be few songs r inspired.. he s yet another person influenced by good music..so nothing wrong in giving good music to people.. his innumerous classical based songs prove his talent..so those songs mentioned in the site seldom affect his name..

glad to find such a nice blog.. also learnt u r a good critic form other blogs.. visit my blog too n comment.. thank u

Ouch, ouch (particularly that Priya one). My life has less meaning now :( ;) - but I would tend to agree with some above that these are fairly rare exceptions rather than a tip of an iceberg.
