Facelift for Tamil - Part-2

I noticed that a lot of you have welcomed the idea of modernized Tamil.

I am thinking something similar to what is in the picture.

Easy yet serves the purpose.

What do you think?

NV,

you are right , we shd change the letters to reflect the sound but not for native words. It will lead to confusion.
It shd be strictly applied only to foreign language words used in tamil.
Most important thing is to teach tamil to next generation. Next is to speak in good tamil.

Actually Amma-Kay example sonnenga illaya, athu romba neyama pattathu. yen "pa" va "ba" nu padikanumnu ini varavanga namma kitta ketta we dont have explanation with us. Probably we missed out asking out ancestors....

Venkitu sir,( it is going to be a biiiiig comment)

definitely indha madiri ezhuduradhu puzhakathukku vandha this will also be accepted as part of language!....as a japanese student let me give my two cents....there are four scripts in Japanese....
1.japanese script for their language called Hiragana
2.Script for denoting foreign words called Katakana
3.Pictorial script called Kanji ( this was ooruvified from Chinese)
4.writing japanese in english called Romaji

nan idhu edhuku solurena...ivlo adapt panni vechurukanga....and they use only government authorized Kanji words in their daily usage too...ivlo strict language rules irundhum it is now flourishing...

so namma Tamizh evolve aradhule thappe illa..and it must also!!!IMHO!

what u have written is defly usable...so keep floating....nangalum engaloda two cents appo appo tharuvom..then how we can proceed we can check that too...language success is a collective effort...so lets roll it on! :)

IBH, You hit it right on the head. Anything....Life, Language, religion will not be successful if it doesn't evolve. Tamil is a wonderful language, but as far as I no...no one has taken any initiative to help it grow these days. We have tons and tons of Kahppiyams, which are sleeping,to be researched only by Someone who wants a Phd. That's a shame. We have to modernize it, do something about it so that the future generations will begin to regain the interest.

I agree with all your points 100%. BTW, how many alpabets are there in these different forms of Japanese.

The Tamil alphabet is thought to have evolved from the Brahmi script, though some scholars believe that its origins go back to the Indus script.
