Indians also feel happy about Venkatraman the Nobel Prize winner, AR Rahman's Oscar and Grammys, the growing economy etc. and feel unhappy about 'Slumdog Millionaire' exposing the slums.
I've always felt that India is too much about 'Old Glory'. This article in THE HINDU is closer to how I feel.
