IMC6 San Jose - Sucks

Desis living in the Bay Area have the misfortune of patronizing two of the dirtiest movie theaters in town.

Both these theaters are pathetic when it comes to cleanliness and quality.

It's a shame that these theaters charge the same money charged by the local movie theaters, that excel in cleanliness and technicals.

I had the misfortune of watching a wonderful movie 'Achamundu Achamundu' at IMC6 today, with audio from only one speaker. Yeah, a 2009 movie, technically supposed to be really good...with audio from the front speaker(s) only !!

When I went and complained to the manager around half-time, he told me that's how the movie is. After the show, I gave the manager a loud lecture about the pathetic audio ( which he accepted now !! ), only to be watched by fellow Tamil desis...none of whom even bothered to open their mouth.

Maybe the other desis in town are rich ..I don't know! Maybe they are absolutely clueless when it comes to sound quality...I don't know !

For me , spending 10$ a ticket in a lousy theater is unacceptable !

We are supposed to be Intelligent...aren't we?

yes... yes... to watch a movie or not is an intelligent question which is determined by IQ

we had the same experience watching the movie on Friday night. Me and another friend of mine spent more of our time persuading this guy the audio was not working rather than see the movie that we paid for.

Things have gotten worse since Adlabs invested in this dump ...

Ramesh,

Keep continuing to raise your voice! I do the same everywhere. Never bother about others. It is a shame that we have live with some dumbos who do not care for anything and have an attitude
" Chaltha.. hai...yaar...". I am glad that the manager accepted at last.

I think the Serra way theaters in Milpitas is a much better option. But probably it might not be playing the same movies ..

We had the same experience on the 11.15 show on last Friday. The manager came and watched with us for about 15 minutes - had a dialogue with the operator and he was convinced about the bad audio quality in the theater. Very bad and I wanted the full effect of the movie - which I had to miss due to this technical nonsense!

Did anybody get a re-run of the show due to this inconvenience?

I agree that quality is very important and that's why we're visiting theaters.

We also know the other ways of downloading or going for pirate DVD to watch movies, but through them we don't see the true picture! The people in chennai aren't voicing much, so that they are raising ticket price at unbearable.

Thanks all of you for your thoughts.

The SERRA theaters at Milpitas is a better option no doubt. But, all the movies get released at IMC6/NAZ8..very few get to SERRA !

Anon1 - You are the most intelligent of the lot. Please Visit IMC6, watch and use your intelligence to figure out about'Dolby Digital' and how the audio should be. Then please complain !! Will you :)
