'Thamizha Thamizha' was the song, sung by the great Hariharan ! That was his first song in Tamil. And boy does he rock even today !
I am a big fan of Hari. In my opinion any song if sung by Hariharan would be a hit !
It's sad that he doesn't sing as much as he deserves. His latest hit in 'Vaaranam Aayiram' is enough to prove how solid he is even in his mid fifties.
Yes, today Hari turned 55 ! Gosh ! His voice sounds like he is in his 20s!

It is hard for me to come up with one favorite song of Hariharan. This is because I am his fan and love all his songs. Infact I am not able to come up with a single song which he has sung that I do not like.
The songs that came to mind at this very moment are "Nila Kaaigiradhu" "Tamizhaa Tamizhaa" "Vennilavae Vennilavae Vinnai thaandi varuvaayaa"
"Thom Thom thithithom" "Manjal Veyil" I can go on and on. Let me stop now.
I have a whole lot of his songs which I never get bored with. His voice really gets to me.

Yes,Hariharan edges all other contemporaries with his magical voice..and he is the only tamilian to have a strong base in ghazals too.But on the down side,his tamil accent is not exceptional,lacks versatility and emotions while compared to SPB's geniusness.

I have many favorites of Hariharan. Poi Solla Koodaathu is a good song, then Dhimi Dhimi from 1947 Earth, Nahin Saamne from Taal etc.
