Weekend Audioblog - Vaazhvu Chezhikka Varam

Prem Abraham and IBM Visu sent me MP3 versions of the 'Vazhvu Chezhikka varam thaa' song. Both were amazing compositions.

JO sang my composition while Ambi sang his own composition. Both are superb. Please enjoy and let them know your thoughts.

I couldn't upload IBM Visu's version. Audioblog didn't cooperate. Once I fix it I'll post it. I'm still waiting for Ganesh's version. I'll post it once I get it.

So, here are Prem's and Mine.

Thanks everyone for your compliments and encourgement.

NV - Thanks for the opportunity and also for writing a simple lyric. Please continue the good work.

Ambi - Great effort. Just a suggestion - The tune keeps going up all the way through, change the last line so that it goes down and closes the phrase giving a sense of completion.

JO - Once again you proved that you are an exceptional talent.

Thennavan - Thanks for suggesting the online band. It is definitely doable.

For all those interested in music theory, please visit Padmasani's blog (Singer Chinmayi's mom). She is a great scholar and explains music in simple terms. The best thing is you are encourged to ask questions and she also answers them promptly.

Ganesh spoke about this song to me. I wish we had this lyric on hand for that Jivodaya concert. We needed something like this, a sarvasamayasamarasa padal varigal. Any way good work.

Mr.Narayanan, I must admit that you have a good voice and fairly good musicality in it for an untrained voice.

Prem your music was very impressive kind of soothing and fitting the theme.

Mrs.Padmasini - Thank you. I am planning to take music lessons.

Please feel free to use the song wherever you like.! I wonder how it will be if Chinmayi sings it.!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I feel honored.

Ganesh - Thanks for letting Mrs.Padmasini know about the song.

Narayan, dont waste your time on formal training in music now. Starting a formal training very late sometimes works in inverse graph.Iwanted you to be aware of this fact.Because an understanding adult estimates the gap between the knowledge one has and distance one has to go.

There is a short cut by which your voice can be made to look like a trained voice. All that you need now is the flexibility to sing your own compositions and some of your most favorite numbers from the films. Even trained people have their own limitations regarding musical expression. Its an endowment from god. Eswara Sankalpam.

So at the nearest opportunity you can have these short one week or so crash training. I will also see whether I can evolve a cd for your purpose. Until then you have a very passable voice musically. These days one does not see that resonant voice typically called a male voice. You have one.:) That is to boost your spirits. Practice in this way as you are doing right now and it will improve automatically.

And of course chinmayi will sing this song in the nearest opportunity when we need this kind of a universal song.

Ms. Padmasani - Thank you so much for your encourgement.

Hope you also had a chance to hear NV's composition sung by Jo.

NV - Did you write the lyrics first or was it for the tune you had ?.
