Nice collection!!! I remember Hariharan was mentioning this song (ilamaan kanniloode) while mentioning music directors from south. The music is by Vidyasagar.

Song: Ilamaan kanniloode
Film: Sathyam Shivam Sundaram

so ur friend is on a trip 2 india?debatable post Colonization and India..yes they gave us the railways..that 2 actually helped in freedom fighters from different parts of india 2 unite against them..but frankly?we were an agrarian simple society..even the mughals had been absorbed in our culture..so what if we were 600 princely states..we would have all co-exsisited with minor skirmishes...

JO - Thank you. How is Hariharan doing in Malayalam.? How is his pronunciation?
Thanks for the details. Vidyasagar is great..isn't he.?

IOIIO - Chumma dhan..We listen to Tamil all the time. These songs are some which you might have listened to....I consider them as some the best melodies I have. So I thought I'd share it with you. No Mozhi mattrams.!

Vijay Ramamurthi - Thank you for the info. I'll check'em out in Raaga today.

Prakash - Me too...same boat.! Music has no language I guess.! Glad, you liked it.

Both were nice. Maybe Hariharan did not have a lot of problems in pronounciation for this song (paadhi inglees). But if it was more classical or pure malayalam, maybe...

TT_G - You are right.! A lot of English indeed.!

nice songs.. :-)

Yeah, Vidyasagar has created a lot of melodious songs in Malayalam.

Hariharan is okay with pronounciation. But Udit Narayanan is not that good in it. The worst was Adnan Sami in a song from the film "Makalkku". I'm not blaming these singers, but the music directors who bring in them to Malayalam without proper rehearsals.

Nice songs Narayanan Sir, Please keep posting more of such songs - just give the details of which movie they are too - so that rasigars can go check the other songs in the movie ;)

Music ke Mulli kadyadhe right Narayanan Sir.

Jo thanks for the information about Hariharan's song

Sir,

Nice songs!
Jo - same case in Tamil too! Udit Narayan thollai thaanga mudiyala...Adnan sami sang two numbers (if am correct) and both were sagikkala (wrt his pronounciation)...he has got a magnetic voice, doesn't he?

Sir, you are right and Vidyasagar has given lots of melodies in Malayalam than in Tamil, i believe.

Hariharan's song is nice, but too much thamizh vaadai. needs a bit more nasal twang.

Narayanan Venkitu said...

Munimma - I agree. But the folks from Kerala ...do they like him.? I don't know.

Arjuna - Thank you Sir.

Jeevan - Thank you and wish you the same.

Anand Prabhu - So, what is your next number?

Sundaresan - I noticed that Chinmayi has spoken positively about Udit in the comment section of one of her posts!. Me - I don't like Udit damaging Tamil..LOL :) VidyaSagar is great..isn't he.!

Danesh - Thank you.

Aatma - I will, You are right about enjoying music.!

JO - Hari is a Palghat guy. So he manages I think.!

Anand - Thanks sir.!

@Sundaresan -- Adnan got a magnetic voice, but he better sing in Hindi. I think he was better sining "nenjamellaam kaathal" in Ayutha Ezhuthu. But his Malayalam is too weak.

@Narayanan Venkitu -- Really??? Didn't know that! Yeah, as you said he manage better than the other singers from north.
