1) I was thinking about how our thoughts just fly here and there.! And wondering how we came from apes.! Hence the poem.
2) Arasa Maram - tradition - Girls I think go around it...to get married.! So that survives..But then the old Banyan trees are cut all over..! People don't (Govt's esp) care about these Old trees.!
3) We drove away the Whites..I mean the Brits...but then we have so many 'Black spots' in our society.!

Adengappa - Agreed to a certain extent...but then sometimes a person can visualize ones writings in different ways. Its left to their minds / thoughts...so If the author writes explanation..It might lose the charm..! That's what I feel.!
Anyways - Your suggestion well taken - I'll attempt it going forward.

All the kavidhai's are good.
Second one is the best. From what i know - women in India go around the Arasa Maram - to conceive children... the general rule is to go around the tree 108 times and do namaskaram in front of the diety - after every round. The logical reason for this practise could have been to offer physical exercise for women - which was insisted in the name of GOD. The namaskaram posture - is highly recommended for women who have uternine trouble. These days - women don't go around 108 times or do namaskaram after every round - so the purpose is lost....but blind faith prevails.....(INFO. was shared by a famous OB/GYN in India)
About your first kavidhai - I think of it as a blessing..

nice poem, simple and to the point.I am surprised people need explanation for this poem.It is very clear.
As keerthi said.Tranplanting the tail was a boon and not a curse.The curse was that he didn't make it compulsory for everyone to use it.
On an another angle i feel more trees should have been associated with god.Atleast we would have saved lot of trees.

Senthil - Brain as saabam - actually when I wrote it..my mindset was like that.! I agree it could also be taken as varam.
About trees - Super thoughts..! Maybe when this practice was put to place....Arasa Maraam - was becomeing an endangered species.!! who knows...
