Cheeseboard Pizza - My favorite Pizza

I am a big fan of Pizza. Got introduced to this 'Wonder food' a few years back. I've eaten Pizza from all around the World, but my favorite Pizza till date, is the Pizza at Cheeseboard,Berkeley,California.

It's the ingredients that make it the No.1 for me and my family. They use a lot of Organic ingredients which makes a huge difference in taste.

Lets examine this pizza. Its all about the bread. It has to be a mixture of cheese, secret ingredients, and drugs??? I have no idea what they put in it but its magical. I've never had anything like this!!!

Interesting indeed. Have to try this out.

The book works out Roberts' theory that ingesting two common food ingredients can lead to voluminous, permanent weight loss.

Prasant Radhakrishnan - Divine Saxaphone

On Friday May-19-2006, I got a mail from Prasant Radhakrishnan. He had invited me to attend his concert with his troupe Carnatic-Jazz group 'Vidya' at The Himalayan Fair that is held every year at Berkeley, California.

I felt honored to be invited by Prasant, who is the Sishya of my favorite Sri. Kadri Gopalnath.

So, I went that afternoon and boy was it a blessing! Anything more divine would be the Goddess Saraswathi herself playing the Veena. From the time he started to play, it was a feast to my ears.

The open air freshness, Berkeley atmosphere, the music..God.!! I was in heaven for 45 minutes.

The Drummer ( missed his name) , Bass Fiddle player David, Violinist Gautham and Prasanth mesmerized the audience.

I bought a couple of his CD’s and am enjoying them in my car. Please visit Prasant's Website, listen and encourage him by buying his CD’s. He has some very good links in his website. Please check them out.

Achilles Spur - What a pain

I've been suffering with an 'Achilles Spur' the last couple of years.

Though I am very careful, if flares up and causes a lot of pain on and off.

As I write this, I am at home nursing the heel again. Pain-killers help a little. The the heel-insert in the shoe doesn't help a lot. Looks like I'll end up having a surgery.

My advice: Don't be barefoot while playing and wear sandals at home. That's one thing I never did when I was young

A Question to the TN Government

The Tamil Nadu government has decided to issue an order allowing all persons in the Hindu community with the required training and qualification to become archakas (priests) in temples

My question to the TamilNadu Government:

What is the qualification and training required to become a MLA ? Minister?

If there are any, are they being enforced?

If there aren't any, How about writing some rules?

Wedding Anniversary - No.13

It happened on May-17-1993. That's when Uma and I got married at a Wedding hall in Purasawalkkam, India.

Time flies. Feels like yesterday.

During these 13 years we have seen a lots of up and downs in life. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters Adhithi and Preethi whom we cling on to, during our ups and downs.

Life goes on...I am sure one of these days the 13 years will become 25 and then 50! I'd like to keep blogging and writing about my future anniversaries.... God willing!

Tamil Nadu Politics - Is it the Worst in the Nation

One the one hand we talk about the IT boom and all the Multi-National companies that are setting shop in Tamil Nadu. On the other hand look at this shameful election politics.

Does TN have a budget surplus to handle this. Isn't there anyone to ask these parties/politicians..how they plan to fund all this. Whose money do they plan to spend for these stupid schemes?

I think the Central Govt. should take these things seriously and come up with a new law to stop these atrocities.

Why do these parties go to these levels? Is it to serve the people. God!. Comeon people of TN ..wake up...the state is being robbed.

These are the freebies so far:

Karunanidhi

• 2 Per Kg. Rice, Free Television ( For the poor!)
• Waiver of loans for farmers
• 2 acres of land to the landless poor
• Kerosene at subsidised rates
• LPG stoves to families of poor
• Allowance for educated employed youth till they get employment

Jayalalitha

• 10 Kg of rice free of cost fo all Ration card holders
• 4 Grams of Gold for marriage of poor girls
• Waiver of loans for farmers
• Might announce free Kerosene to rural folks

Vijayakanth

• 15 kg of rice free of cost
• Rs.500 to the poor families every month for purchase of groceries
• Supply the ration goods at the doorsteps of the card holders
